XWD is transitioning to Severe Coverage Mode due to a potential severe weather outbreak taking place over parts of Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
The SPC has issued an Enhanced risk (3/5) of severe weather. Tornadoes will be the primary threat with a 10% hatched area mainly over Louisiana and Mississippi, as well as damaging wind gusts up to 75mph. These storms will start to fire off around midday and will continue into the overnight hours.
