Severe Coverage Mode enabled! — February 27th

XWD has enabled Severe Coverage Mode due to a potential tornado outbreak today in parts of the lower and middle Ohio Valley.

The SPC has issued an Enhanced risk (3/5) of severe weather. Tornadoes will be the primary threat with a 10% hatched area mainly over the Ohio Valley area, as well as hail up to 2 inches. Damaging winds will also be a threat with a 30% significant risk throughout the area. These storms are already starting to fire off and will continue into the overnight hours.
