Severe Coverage Mode enabled! — April 1st

XWD has enabled Severe Coverage Mode due to a likely SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK in the south-central US.

The SPC has issued a MODERATE risk (4/5) of severe weather. Hail and tornadoes will be the primary threat with a 45% hatched area for hail, and a 10% hatched area mainly over Oklahoma. The hatched tornado threat expands all the way to Illinois. Damaging winds will also be a threat as well with gusts to 80mph+ possible with another 30% hatched risk. These storms will start to fire off around midday or evening and will continue into the overnight hours.
