Severe Coverage Mode enabled! — February 4th

XWD has enabled Severe Coverage Mode due to the HIGH risk of excessive rainfall issued by the Weather Prediction Center (WPC) and the potential for severe weather as well.

Widespread heavy rainfall is on the horizon for much of California, with a heightened focus on coastal regions, encompassing major metropolitan areas such as San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, along with the central valleys of California. Projections indicate that precipitation levels meet thresholds for a HIGH risk of flash flooding and there is a growing certainty, supported by recent model data, that a significant flooding event will unfold tomorrow.
