Severe Coverage Mode enabled! — April 9th

XWD has enabled Severe Coverage Mode due to a multi-day SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK in the south-central US.

For today, the SPC has issued an Enhanced risk of severe weather in Texas and Louisiana. Strong tornadoes, hail, and damaging wind will all be possible. These storms will start to fire off around now and will continue into the overnight hours.

For tomorrow, the SPC has issued a MODERATE risk (4/5) of severe weather. Tornadoes and damaging winds will be the primary threat with a 45% hatched area for wind, and a 15% hatched area around that area. If you are in the MODERATE risk zone, take steps NOW to make sure you are prepared. This is not a common event and should be taken seriously.
