Stearns County, Minnesota:
Jeff Baumgartner and Tadd Parris
Partly cloudy day nice and humid in the early afternoon
which would lead to the development in the afternoon. The first storms
developed 30 miles northwest of St. Cloud, MN and tracked to the south. Jeff
Baumgartner was already out the door and on his way to the storm he arrived neat
Avon and waited. Tadd Parris was at home and saw what was happening on the
computer and left right away.

| Wall cloud 5 miles north of Avon,
Minnesota. Notice the stiarations on the updraft and the beaver tail to the
right. |
Wall cloud getting stronger and hail
shaft visible on left side. Storm was moving to the south at 10 mph. |
 |
 |
| Tightening wall cloud moving south.
Notice the hail shaft starting to fall on the wall cloud but besides that
the storm looked incredible and nearly dropped a tornado. |
As the wall cloud continued moving it
eventually beat out the rain and hail falling on it as it did rotation
picked up. |
 |
 |
| New wall cloud near Avon nearly
touching the ground. This was associated with the same storm but more to
the east. |
Wall cloud picking up strength as it
crossed right in front of Jeff Baumgartner. |
 |
 |
| Wall cloud moving south still losing
most of its punch but still a wall cloud. |
New storm developing south of Jeff
near Cosmos. |
 |
 |
